Nathalie's Poems

Poems are a way for me to express my
thoughts, feelings and ideas. I sometimes go months without
writing a new poem. Then I go for a walk by myself in the
wilderness and I quickly find myself in need of a pen and paper
to scribble down the musings that come to me. I do not plan to
update this poem collection very often, but when I do I will
make sure it is worth your while.
Enjoy the poems.
Oceana
The sounds of the ocean
Are deep and overwhelming.
They command, they lull,
They engulf and unfold around us.
Its creatures are majestic,
They flow, they cry, they die,
Just like us.
Its salty waves purify,
Like the rays of the moon,
Together they bring us,
Apart they pull us.
You little
sunshine
Like drops of sunshine, drops of joy,
Nothing ever made me so happy before.
It was all because of you, because of your smile,
And your constant glow.
No rainbow could outshine you,
Natural cataclysms couldn?t overcome the notion of you.
Your eyes much brighter than stars,
Your tears stronger than the waves of a raging
ocean.
The absence of you,
Stronger than the most powerful black hole.
Being absorbed into nothingness,
Losing myself as I search for you.
That is the way it was.
And as the world turns,
As our hearts beat,
So shall it continue to be.
Caveman
You were cold,
All alone in the dark,
Wishing and waiting
For the rocks to spark.
Your hands were thick with dirt,
Filled with despair,
Morpheus calling you through the air,
Yet you resisted.
You knew all too well,
That if you stopped for one second,
The world would let you depart
Without a second thought.
And so was the life of a caveman
Who knew his cave had grown too small.
When the winter wind blew through,
And the frost took over,
No fire would save him.
